November 3rd
It's barely sinking in... Four more years of Yogi Berra like quotes, acceptance of greed, religious ideology that doesn't add up to human needs, war, etc.
The religous right has had their way and there's nothing we can do... I do mean by conventional means/ways. So where do we go from here? Not to Canada I hope. I'd hate to be a part of this sinking ship on my own... I say let's fix it by way of holding the powers that be accountable in every aspect of politics. This not only applies to George W., but to those all the way down to your local mayor. Come to think of it... I used to live down the street from mine and as I recall, the accountability factor at the time was somewhere between nile and none, which in mayor terms is widely practiced.
In order to fully fight this counter-revolution, also known as the re-election of Bush, we must become educated in all things political. From what roll our senators play in our everday lives to why George W. just said "nucular," "it's hard work, or "the have mores." The fight begins with educating ourselves on how this system works and doesn't work. Any ideas on where the fix lies? Perhaps a fix is not possible. Will we get fair market value should we decide to trade in our so-called Democracy? Probably not. I think we'd have a better chance of landing five grand on a 1988 Hyundai Excel with 250,000 plus miles on it. Mr. President, have you heard of Karl Marx?
So go out there, talk shit, have a beer, smoke a bowl... do anything that's going to jump start that mad consumption marinated brain of yours into thinking the way Americans were intened to think... as progressive minds. I'll keep you posted on how this brain's doing in the coming days, weeks, months, hopefully years. The revolution begins now... on a chilly November night on Humbert Ave.
